I have been EBF (exclusively breastfeeding) for 3 and a half months now. It's a beautiful thing and I love it, but it is hard at the beginning. At the beginning you are like a slave to your baby (well ,that's how I felt lol) but I promise it gets better!!! I just wish I was one of those women who over produce and could breastfeed their baby and also pump a good amount of milk to store away as well. However, for me I feel like I am just a little lazy with the pumping (I don't know if it's because I get discouraged because I see only like 2 ounces in each boob come out when I pump).
I have tried fenugreek pills and I didn't really see an increase in my pumping. I also tried some lactation cookies from milkmakers (I bought them at baby r us) and I still didn't see an increase in milk when I pumped (it's probably because I never ate the whole cookie because they are not tasty!! I bought chocolate oatmeal and lemon ones and they were not good tasting) so that was a fail for me. And the last thing I tried was Bessie's products I bought fenugreek bars and some granola from the company and it was not good tasting either! But now I am trying this tea from Mrs. Patels (it's an Indian tea for breastfeeding mothers). I am on my second day drinking it (I'm on the herbal blend not good tasting either but I just add lemon and honey to it and hold my nose and drink it!!! Hahah) I will update you guys in a few days to let you know how it went!
Again, Philly loves to eat and I don't ever worry about my supply however, I would like to begin a "stockpile" of milk to store (so I can have "me time" and leave her with her dad so I could do things like go get my nails done and go to the gym and supermarket without my daughter, and I need help doing it so that is why I am trying different products so that I can lactate a good amount while pumping ;) I will kepp you giys on posted on my progress!!!
